My first visit to Udine
Thursday, November 23rd, 2006Mum and I jumped on the train today and headed to Udine.
With no map and just our wits we navigated our way through the city; turning right or left on a whim we found the local fish market, coffee shops, restaurants and mostly all of the historic sites.
After climbing the 125 steps up to the castle which houses the “Civic Musei e Galleria di Storia ed Arte Antica we took in the breath taking view of the city. We arrived at the top just as all the bell towers in the city struck noon, at best we counted at least 6 ringing at the same time, it was truly amazing.
This city is a must see and Hoss and I will be back, did I mention the amazing shopping district???
